Marcos José Porto Soares
Public Prosecutor
Marcos José Porto Soares is a Public Prosecutor at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Paraná, Brazil. He holds a Master’s degree in Evidential Reasoning from the University of Girona, Spain, and the University of Genoa, Italy. He is certified in Programming for Smart Contracts on Blockchain Applied to Law by PUC-Rio and is a graduate of the Kleros Fellowship of Justice. He is also a specialist in Negotiation and Arbitration, with an emphasis on new technologies, from Instituto New Law — Unifect. He is a member of the Coordination Board of the Research Group on Law, Innovation and New Technologies at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Paraná, and serves as Director of Innovation and New Technologies at the Association of Public Prosecutors of Paraná. He is the author of Justiça na Blockchain: Smart Contracts e Cortes Descentralizadas, published by Editora Juspodivm, the first Portuguese-language book on decentralized justice.
